Lauren Reddington, LMSW
I utilize a client centered, empathetic approach to therapy. My hope is to build a strong therapeutic alliance with each client, developing a safe space, free of judgement, where the client can feel comfortable to share and heal. Together, we can create goals unique to you and build coping skills to help you reach those goals and maintain positive change. I aim to help you feel heard, offer empowerment, identify and change problematic thoughts and behaviors, or learn new skills to improve your quality of life. I treat each client differently based on their personal experience and needs through utilizing skills such as CBT, DBT, or inner child work.
I am passionate about helping clients in the areas of body-image, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, LGBTQ-issues, domestic violence, PTSD, behavioral issues, and substance use.
I received my Master's of Social Work from Rutgers University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies.
